In Vietnamese the word "ma" has six different meanings depending on the tone you use. It can mean phantom, but, rice seedling, mother, tomb or horse. Does that mean "Mama" has thirty-six different possibilities? One day I could be a "phantom rice seedling" and then a "horse tomb" the next.
With three kids and a husband in tow, this mama is headed for a hot and steamy Asian adventure on the South China Sea. Mastering Vietnamese is bound to be just one of our many challenges.
