BTV: Advanced Math

Despite our efforts in the suitcase weighing game, we still created a scene when it came time to check in: five suitcases splayed on the floor in an effort to redistribute weight evenly and stay under our fifty pound per bag limit. After some initial deep thinking, we resorted to just shoving random bits and pieces into different bags and testing the weight on the check-in scale (an absolute nightmare for anyone waiting behind us, but quite comical in retrospect). We tossed out one three-pound “Guiness Book of World Records” and intermingled clothing and electronics until every bag weighed in at exactly 50 pounds. I shudder to think of the time I wasted organizing and folding clothes. Alas, we will regroup and redistribute in Ho Chi Minh.
