Hot and Sweaty in Hoi An

Another week, another tooth.  Nolan lost his second tooth ever this week, and  Brianna pulled a canine as well.  It was a busy week for the tooth fairy.  Nolan promptly spent his 50,000 dong on a cheese quiche from the Dingo Deli at snack time.  Bri opted to keep her tooth for her collection.

Otherwise it was a calm week in Hoi An.  More gorgeous weather.  Lots of classroom time and some beach time mixed in.

We're all training for a triathlon that is coming up in June, so our Wednesday afternoon recreational time has a fresh focus on running, biking and swimming.  This week it was our usual 4 mile bike ride to the beach, a "distance" run, a game of rugby in the sand, some swimming time (which is more like wrestling with the surf for now), and the four mile bike ride back home.  Somedays it reminds me a little too much of Girls on the Run - lots of prompting and prodding to keep everyone moving in the heat, and I'm awfully tempted to break out the whip.  The big difference though is that gem of an ocean that is waiting for us at the end of a sweaty afternoon.  You really can't beat a cool dip in the waves at the end of a hot afternoon of exercise.

Here's a girl on the run...

Sending happiness from Hoi An to all of you at home.  Your ice and snow should be gone soon.

  2. Considering the newly fallen 10" of snow we just got which has added to the additional 23"...... I don't think our snow will be gone anytime soon.
Great to see your happy half-toothy smiles!

  3. Enjoy your snow Vermont! This must almost be the end. I'm quite sure I say that every March and then curse the late April snow storm...good luck!
