Tetmas photo with our dear kumquat |
It was Tetmas in the rice paddy yesterday, and today everyone has a post-Tetmas hangover. It's 11:00 a.m., and the kids are all still sleeping. New computer games and Legos kept everyone (including John) up until the wee hours of the morning. What fun!
As we celebrated with our flashing kumquat tree and gifts, our neighbors next door were celebrating the end of the lunar year with a plucked chicken and burning incense. I know it's not a competition but...we won!
Now that we've properly celebrated Christmas, we'll get on with the Vietnamese experience just as soon as we can drag the kids away from their new toys.

Good to see that dad really shook up his wardrobe for the exotic vacation. Went with the khakis and a SHORT sleeved blue shirt! Mom must be proud.
ReplyDeleteAnything ".....mas" is supposed to be accompanied by snow, isn't it? You're all missing the 'blizzard of the half century'..that would surely make "....mas" just perfect, wouldn't it? Glad to see the three g's together. G'ma and G'pa appear to have survived nicely. Keep the photos coming. Waiting to G'ma and G'pa experiencing the cuisine to it's fullest.
