In Vietnamese the word "ma" has six different meanings depending on the tone you use. It can mean phantom, but, rice seedling, mother, tomb or horse. Does that mean "Mama" has thirty-six different possibilities? One day I could be a "phantom rice seedling" and then a "horse tomb" the next. With three kids and a husband in tow, this mama is headed for a hot and steamy Asian adventure on the South China Sea. Mastering Vietnamese is bound to be just one of our many challenges.

ReplyDeleteWill you be eating the ducklings? I just don't know.
Are you going to be getting Vietnamese chickens? I don't think there are any fOxes there to eat them!
ReplyDeleteThe backyard/weedy enclosure has been duckling-proofed by Brianna and Nolan in anticipation of the next day we find ducklings at the market. The question is not, "Do ducks eat coconuts?" but rather, "Do Coconuts eat ducks?"
ReplyDeleteThey should be fat and juicy just in time for my arrival next month!
ReplyDeletePets, right? Not a snack for Christopher, right? ooooohhhhhhh, good luck.
ReplyDeleteThey are SOOOOOO cute! Timothy is already asking when we can hatch! He would love to get his hands on that basket full of peepers!!!!
